Is WEP working?

Yes WEP ist working but WPA isn't working for now. Hauke

as i know people are working on wep for this card (shown on sourceforge with highest priority)

this tutorial worked for me (debian unstable with kernel version 2.6.18-2-k7 and d-link 650+ wireless pci card) but i needed to add the korrekt firmware into /lib/firmware. i also had little troubles with the example file it says:
...
wireless_essid linksys # change to your essid
wireless_key1 12345asdf #this is your wep key if it's needed, (optional)
wireless_ap 00:0F:66:12:0D:C9 # your accesspoint MAC (optional)
...

but i had to leave out the comments ( everything starting with # behind the lines) otherwise wireless_essid parameter was not working. thanks to all the developers
