I noticed that "tiacx111c16" is not in the list of firmwares that the modified start_net script looks for. I had to add it manually. Another work around would be to rename the firmware to tiacx111, which is in the list. Also, I was not able to connect to my router using an asciikey by `key "s:asciikey"`, I had to input the key hex values. Also worth noting is that 128bit WEP does work with Slackware 10.2, acx-20060215, and kernel 2.6.15.5.

Also, with acx-20060215 you do not need to use the start_net/stop_net scripts. You can edit /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless.conf and /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf with all of the settings for your card. then you can start, stop, and restart your card by using rc.inet1, and it should be called at start up.

cd /etc/rc.d

./rc.inet1 start

./rc.inet1 restart

./rc.inet1 stop
